Anyone know European 3 phase motor designations?
I have an Italian(?) vertical mill that I need to change from 440 to 220 3 phase. Unfortunately there is no diagram and the pole designations don't match up with anything electricians around here have seen.
The three power wires are connected to U, V, and W. Jumpered across (triangular in center) are: X1,Y1,Z1...also jumpered are: W1, X....also Y, U1....also Z, V1.
This is the hookup for 440V. Does anyone know how to change it to 220V?
Is it like this? (I know its not the same equipment but the motor windings may be)
